A little history behind the booklet:
At the first National Conference in October 2007 for those who had experienced breast cancer, Breast Cancer Network brought together people with breast cancer, as well as medical professionals, advocates, nurses and scientists, both local and from overseas. From 450 Conference delegates came 63 recommendations. There was a strong mandate for BCN to promote risk reduction and prevention of breast cancer, and to facilitate much wider distribution of information on this topic.
A response to the mandate was our publication ‘Stop Cancer Where It Starts’ targeting to provide lifestyle information to those concerned about breast cancer.
In February 2017, the booklet was updated and renamed aBreast – Reduce Your Breast Cancer Risks.
